Membership Cadres
Student Membership (SAIBML)
Enrolled in an accredited institution pursuing a degree or professional credential in management or a related field.
Actively involved in general management and development activities as part of their education.
Committed to advancing their professional development to maintain, refresh, and improve their knowledge and skills.
Graduate Membership (GAIBML)
Holds a minimum of a recognized degree or professional credential in a field related to management.
Involved in general management and development as part of their everyday business.
May be an academic following a course in business management and related fields.
Committed to advancing their professional development to maintain, refresh, and improve their knowledge, skills, and the support and guidance they provide.
Associate Membership (AAIBML)
Individuals aspiring for professional training and certification as an Associate Member should hold at least a Bachelor’s degree or HND in a relevant discipline from a recognized University, Polytechnic, or College of Education.
Accompanied by a minimum of 2-6 years of post-qualification experience.
Those certified in this category are entitled to use the initials “AAIBML” after their names.
Full Membership (MAIBML)
Individuals pursuing professional training and certification as a Full Member should hold at least a Bachelor’s degree or HND in a relevant discipline.
Accompanied by a minimum of seven (7) years of post-qualification experience.
Alternatively, a Master’s degree from a recognized University, with not less than three (3) years of post-qualification experience, also qualifies.

Fellow (FAIBML)
This prestigious grade within the Institute’s Professional Membership is reserved for accomplished professionals showcasing substantial individual responsibility and sustained achievements in their respective professions.
The Institute’s Governing Council holds the discretion to upgrade a Full Member to the esteemed grade of Fellow or directly extend an invitation, admission, and induction to an individual as a Fellow of the Institute.
Those admitted and registered in this category are entitled to use the initials “FAIBML” after their names.
